Essential Job Functions
- Support the store manager and the assistant store manager to achieve store and company-wide goals.
- Directly drive sales and maintain revenue targets through managing and participating in front-line sales while ensuring excellent customer service and addressing customer issues.
- Monitor loss prevention procedures in addition to notifying the store manager when optimal inventory counts dip below the necessary level for product movement.
- Keep communication with the store manager and the assistant store manager, and report issues and opportunities.
- Adapt communication styles to the person and/or situation.
- Research and identify potential sales opportunities with local and state agencies as well as manufacturers and distributors.
- Monitor government bid portals for RFPs (Requests for Proposal) and RFQs (Requests for Quote).
- Establish and maintain relationships with procurement officers, agency stakeholders, companies, and organizations.
- Prepare and submit bids, proposals, and quotes according to government guidelines.
- Oversee awarded contracts to ensure delivery obligations and performance metrics are met, in addition to serving as a liaison between government clients, manufacturers, and distributors and the company to discuss targets and asset procurement.
- Stay up to date with government funding, cycles, and legislative priorities through analyzing the landscape in order to adjust sales strategies.
- Lead sales cycles to discuss promotion opportunities and procurement.
- Oversee and manage promotions to ensure sales and performance metrics are met.
- Stay up to date with promotions, cycles, vendor fleet programs, and organizational priorities through analyzing the landscape in order to adjust sales strategies.
- Analyze and maintain proper inventory based on upcoming promotions and client interests.
Preferences
- Computer competency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Studio products.
- Familiarity and ability to execute RFPs and RFQs.
- Above-average communications skills with customers and other teams.
- Ability to maintain a customer profile and grow a point of contact list.
- Familiarity with point of sale software.
- Basic financial knowledge and the ability to maintain business margins.
